By the time she was removed the team needed 66 additional runs at one run per ball - an unconquered height now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I'm happy we have the assurance to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it another time but, should it happen, we believe we can achieve it."

Those words will be the ultimate thing rival teams at this World Cup should hear.

In recent days a sense they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this victory coming after victory over Pakistan by 107 runs despite sitting at 76-7 at one stage.
